Turned Newel Posts & Spindles
Our extensive range of Newel Posts and Spindles (sometimes known as Balusters) offer diversified styles in a range of different finishes.
Spindles come in many different styles. Square spindles can be square the full length of the spindle or can have a square top and bottom section with a turned profile in the centre.
Pin top spindles have a square section at the bottom but the turning elongates to a radius pin top which is fixed into the underside of the handrail. Pin top spindles are very elegant and are often used with the continuous handrail system whereas square top spindles create a more chunky look and are often used with post-to-post handrail system. Either spindle styles can of coarse be used with any handrail system depending on the style and shape of the stairs.
All ranges of newels and spindles come in a variety of timbers and finishes.
We can also design newels and spindles to match existing profiles or create a custom design to suit a particular stairs.
